Welcome to the Northern Lights Small Equine Society website. We are a nonprofit club with members primarily from Minnesota and Wisconsin. Our mission is to develop and promote good fellowship among miniature horse and shetland pony owners, and to encourage horse owners to get out and have fun with their horses.

Northern Lights puts on three events a year, our first fun show held in early May, and a second fun show held in conjunction with the Washington County Fair in early August, and a Fall drive usually held in October. The popularity of these annual events increases every season and we are excited to see a respective growth in club membership.

 The Fall Drive, also held at the Washington County fairgrounds consists of three classes, a poker run (which takes horses and drivers all over the fairgrounds property), an obstacle course, and a timed cones course. We hope these classes give our members a chance to grow in their driving skills, an opportunity for their horses to gain experience, and provide the additional opportunity for people to learn from each other.
